Betty Jane Mitchell

Betty Jane Mitchell, 82, of Lowell, Ark. passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at the Shiloh Nursing and Rehab in Springdale, Ark. Betty was born on July 22, 1934, in Alexandria, La., a daughter of Otis Calvin Willis and Blanche Irene (Merrill) Willis. She enjoyed traveling, spending time with her children and grandchildren, and was an avid reader. She was preceded in death by her former husband, Donald R. Mitchell; and three sisters, Billie Daggs, Eloise Stevenson and Dorothy Taylor. Betty is survived by her three daughters, Brenda Liddell of Witter, Ark., Janie Landman and husband Michael of Fayetteville, Ark., and Donna Robinson and husband Greg of Wesley, Ark.; two sons, Bruce Printz of Berryville, Arkansas and Dennis Mitchell and wife Becky of Lowell, Ark.; 11 grandchildren, Michael James Tankersley II and wife Tasha of Ft. Polk, La., Sean Liddell of Seattle, Wash., Wesley Mitchell of Springdale, Ark., Megan Little and husband Bradley of Springdale, Ark., Shelby Liddell of Seattle, Wash., Samantha Endacott of Hollister, Mo., Ashley Luper and husband Cameron of Centerton, Ark., Luke Liddell and wife Allison of Conway, Ark., Josh Printz of Biddeford, Maine, Jordan Liddell of Fayetteville, Ark., and Taylor Jean Mitchell of Lowell, Ark.; four great-grandchildren, Michael Tankersley III, Claire Printz, Raylan Little, and Liam Liddell; one brother, Merrill Willis; and several nieces and nephews. Her final years were spent with her loving caregivers at Shiloh Nursing and Rehab. Memorial service will be held Saturday, Oct. 8, 2016 at 10 a.m. at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Springdale, Ark. To sign the online guest book visit www.backstrom-pyeatte.com.
