Doyle Franklin Rakes

Doyle Franklin Rakes, 79, of Cave Springs passed away Saturday November 19. He was born July 22, 1937 in Bentonville to the late John "Frank" and Loretta Goebel Rakes. He lived most of his life in Benton County. Following four years proudly serving in the US Navy, he began his 40 year career as head of maintenance for Harris Baking Company. He loved riding motorcycles and was exceptionally skilled at building many things. Survivors include his wife Gwen; a daughter, Diana Barnes (Charles) of Rogers; 2 sons, Scott Rakes of Rogers and Patrick Rakes (Nanci) of Tennessee; 3 grandchildren, Sean Rakes, Benjamin Rakes and Samantha Barnes-Stockwell. The Funeral will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, December 3 at St. Theodores Episcopal Church in Bella Vista.
