Byron R. Spencer

Byron R. Spencer, 75, of Springdale died November 26, 2016 in Springdale. He was born March 5, 1941 in Pocahontas, Arkansas the son of Rees Spencer and Thelma Wiley. He was a graduate of Pocahontas High School and Arkansas State College. He taught English for several years and was the consultant for the Teacher Retirement for the state of Illinois. He was an eagle scout and a scout leader. Also, he was docent to the Frank Lloyd Wright Dana House and enjoyed volunteering for meals on wheels. He also enjoyed genealogy and travel, especially to England. Survivors include a brother, Ken Spencer and his wife, Linda of Springdale, nieces and nephews, Byron Spencer and wife, Melissa and sons, of Kansas City, Sarah Faldon and husband, Mark and Children of Springdale, Jimmy Findley and wife, Nicky and children of Sun Prairie, Wis., Nancy Findley and children of Springfield, Ill., Amy Lynch and son of Henderson, Nev., Molly Freimut and husband, Phil and daughters of Troy, Ill. and Andrew Findley of Springfield, Ill.
