Fannie Estella Chaney

Fannie Estella Chaney, 84, homemaker, died Thursday, November 17, 2016. A memorial will be held on January 3, 2017, to be followed by a graveside service at Alexander Cemetery in Alexander, Texas. Arrangements are by Lacy Funeral Home. Fannie was born in Mullin, Texas, on January 21, 1932, to Ernest and Jewell (Clark) Ingram. She grew up with her younger brother, Gene Ingram, who died on August 9, 1974. Fannie married her high school sweetheart, Charles L. Chaney, also of Mullin, on December 21, 1951. During 64 years of marriage, Fannie and Charles lived in Texas, Kentucky, Illinois, Missouri, Georgia, and Arkansas. Charles preceded Fannie in death on March 2, 2016. She was a member of the Acton Baptist Church in Acton, Texas. Survivors include her children, Carey Chaney and wife, Debbie, of Bentonville, Arkansas, Bart Chaney and wife, Andrea, of Dallas, Texas, and Gena Porter of Bentonville, Arkansas; sisters-in-law, Dianna Locke of Stephenville, Texas, LaWana Chaney of Stephenville, Texas, and Musette (Ingram) Snapp of Early, Texas; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and five nieces and nephews.
