June Louise (Birch) Garriott-Daniels, age 63 a resident of Fayetteville, left this world on November 16, 2016 from the Willard Walker Hospice House in Fayetteville after a year long battle with acute leukemia. She was born December 12, 1952 in Lincoln, the daughter of James Glenn and Dorothy Helen Woods Birch. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Prairie Grove. She was raised on the family farm in the Clyde Community. She was a graduate of the Lincoln High School in 1971 and attended the University of Arkansas. June married Larry C. Garriott on June 16, 1979. Larry brought into this union a son Michael Jason Garriott who June loved and raised as her own son. The family moved to Houston, Texas where their son James Carlos Garriott was born completing their family. The family moved to Jenks, Oklahoma in 1985 and later returned home to Fayetteville in 1995. June and Larry divorced in 2000. While attending her 35th school class reunion she reconnected with classmate John W. Daniels. They were married in 2006. June was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Norma J. Nichols, one brother, Jerry M. Birch, her special nephew, Michael G. Curtsinger and her ex-husband, Larry Garriott. Survivors include her husband John W. Daniels; two sons, Michael J. Garriott of Springdale and James C. Garriott of Fayetteville; one brother, James G. Birch Jr. of Little Rock; one sister, Dorothy L. Powell of Fayetteville; one sister-in-law, Shelia K. Birch of Belote, Kansas; many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly and her best friend Donna Johnson of Fayetteville. The family would like to express a special thank you to her doctors both at Highland Oncology and Willard Walker Hospice House as well as the nurses who helped June and her family thru this difficult time. Memorial service will be held Saturday November 19, 2016, 2 p.m. at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove. Burial will be in the Farmington Cemetery, there will be no graveside services.
