Richard Lee Fortner

Richard Lee Fortner, age 87, of Farmington passed away on Friday, November 11, 2016. He was born on October 27, 1929, to Shelby and Mabel Neal Fortner in Wheeler, Arkansas. He served his country as part of the U.S. Army and fought in the Korean War. Richard then dedicated his working career to Campbell's Soup as a dedicated employee for 38 years. Richard is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years, Ola Mae Fortner; his son, Richard Keith Fortner and wife Yvonne of Farmington; his three daughters, Debra Bohenna and husband Bob of Farmington, Beverly McMinn and husband Danny of Prairie Grove, and Regina Myer and husband Wayde of Elkins; one sister, Nina Joyce Burns and husband Floyd of Farmington; two half-sisters; one half-brother; eleven grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; one niece; and three nephews. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, November 17, 2016, at Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville. There will be a private burial to follow.
