Jeanette Laney Briggs

Jeanette Laney Briggs, 89, of Bella Vista, Ark., passed from her earthly life Nov. 4, 2016 at her home. A "Celebration of her life" will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 7, 2016 at the Bella Vista Funeral Home Chapel, 2258 Foreat Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Ark. 72715. Dr. Anna Teel will officiate. Jeanette has been involved in Bella Vista Duplicate Bridge Club, as well as several other bridge groups and "New Beginnings". She is a long time member of Bella Vista Community Church. Jeanette was known to her friends for her warm hospitality and cheerful attitude in the face of failing health. Her son, J.D. Laney, of Cedar Hill, Texas, has been by her side during her final illness. Jeanette is survived by one son, J.D. Laney and wife, Jan, two stepchildren Lori Muckensturm and Lance Leverich, which she referred as her "bonus children", one grandson Kevin Laney and wife Kristen, two great granddaughters, Taylor and Tanner of New Braunfels, Texas, a sister Pat Allen of Frederick, Okla. Jeanette will be sorely missed by a multitude of friends. The family requests no flowers and no food, but contributions may be may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O.
