Floella Taylor Barnett

Floella Taylor Barnett left this Earthly world on November 1st, 2016 in Morrilton, Arkansas surrounded by her family. She was born in Bates, Arkansas to Flora (Wood) and AC Taylor on June 10, 1928. Floella spent time in Las Cruses, New Mexico, and enjoyed travelling over half the United States, before moving to Waldron to raise her children. She worked 26 hard years at Tyson Foods. After retirement she spent her time fishing, gardening, quilting, and playing Super Mario Brothers on the original Nintendo. As she advanced in age, she moved to Springdale to be closer to her daughter that cared for her. Her last move was to Brookridge Cove Rehab Center in Morrilton. She is preceded in death by her parents, her oldest son Barney Barnett, one daughter Ginger Rasbury and her great-grandchild, Olivia Harris. She is survived by one brother, Billie (Bertha) Taylor of Tahlequah, Okla.; five children, Rodger Barnett of Ft. Smith, Ark., Marcia (Lonnie) McDurmond of Oppelo, Ark., Twania (Rick) Fielding of Jackson, TN, Jonathan Rasbury of Farmington, Ark. and Debbie Barnett of Paris, Ark.; 14 grandchildren: John (Jillian) Barnett of Little Rock, Ark., Anthony Barnett of Camden, Ark., Wesley Barnett of Arkadelphia, Ark., Marcus (Tracy) Crump of Waldron, Ark., Consuella (Andy) Harris of Plumerville, Misty (Doug Willhite) Hale of Ft. Smith, Ark., Miranda (Jeremy) Wade of Medon, Tenn., Brittany (David) Lay of Henderson, Tenn., Michael (Brad Crihfield) Lovell of Memphis, Tenn., Hailey Fielding of Jackson, Tenn., Christie (Joe) McDaniel of Farmington, Ark., Fran Riley of Mount Pleasant, Texas, Christopher Rasbury of Fayetteville, Ark., and Alexander Rasbury of Farmington, Ark.; 24 great-grandchildren: Henry Barnett, Logan Barnett, Samantha McMillan, Katie King, Joseph Crump, Noah Crump, Denver Merryman, Stephanie Merryman, Amber (Charlie) Crain, Justin Harris, Taylor Pottorff, Kindall Ming, Zachary Smith, Andrew Smith, Ali Shinault, Adelyn Lay, Anthony Lay, Sarah Lay, Carter Lay, Joe Kelly McDaniel, Tiffany McDaniel, Harvey Vanover, Jenny Mae Vanover, and Theodore Riley, and four great-great-grandchildren: Makenna Crain, Xander Crain, Nathan Shinault, and Hope Fielding. She has chosen to be cremated, with a memorial service on Saturday, November 5th, at 2 p.m. in Waldron at Martin Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made in her name to the Alzheimer's Foundation or to Brookridge Cove Rehab in Morrilton. Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home in Rogers is handling cremation arrangements.
