David Lee Wilson, 67, of Mountainburg, Arkansas passed away on November 2, 2016 in Houston, Texas. He was a retired Wildlife Officer for Arkansas Game and Fish Commission for 39 years, a member of Pigeon Creek Freewill Baptist Church and a U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War Era. He was born April 27, 1949 in Border, Texas to the late Kitchell and Mary Lee (Duckett) Wilson. Preceded in death by a son, Robert Lee Wilson. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, November 7, 2016 at Pigeon Creek Freewill Baptist Church with interment in Basham Cemetery with Military Honors performed by the Arkanss Game and Fish Commission. Arrangements are under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma. Survivors include his wife, Susan Wilson of the home; one daughter, Patti Stroud (Jonathan) of Alma, AR; one son, Chad Wilson (Kathryn) of Conway, Ark. and three grandchildren, Ridge Bonewell, Aspen "Pen" Stroud and Elijah Wilson. Pallbearers will be Bill Coleman, Bruce Coleman, Eugene Morris, Gary Wallace, Kent Griffin, Floyd Cagle, Michael Gray and Frankie Tucker. Honorary pallbearers will be the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Pigeon Creek Freewill Baptist Food Pantry, P.O. Box 497 Mountainburg, Ark. 72946.
