Leanell Shockley

Leanell Shockley, 91, of Springdale, died Monday, October 31, 2016 at Circle of Life Hospice. She was born April 7, 1925 in Texas to Sherman and Geneva Inez Barton Zachary. Leanell was devoted to the care of her husband and daughter, and together they enjoyed traveling. She was a lifetime member of the Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hershel Shockley, in 2000, and two brothers and four sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Kara Shockley of Springdale; two sisters, Marjorie King and Val Wallis both of Lowell; in-laws, Dorothy Zachary of Plainview, Texas, A.E. "Junior" Erwin of Springdale; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, November 4, at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at Bluff Cemetery.
