Thomas Edward Wolfe

Thomas Edward Wolfe, 72, of Fayetteville, Ark., passed away October 25, 2016, Joplin, Mo. Born November 20, 1943 in Wayne, Mich. he was the son of the late Carl and Betty Wolfe. Tom grew up in Tulsa, Okla., where he attended St. Peter & Paul Middle School, graduated from Bishop Kelley High School and was baptized in the Roman Catholic faith and remained a devout Christian throughout his life. After serving in the United States Navy in the Viet Nam War, he then graduated with an Associate of Arts Degree from Alan Hancock Junior College, Santa Maria, Calif., and attended California State University, Northridge. He married Carol Hornbecker in Las Vegas, Nev., July 9, 1974, and moved to Fayetteville, Ark., where he designed and built their home and business. Tom founded Wolfe Screen Printing Company, 1974, which he and his wife owned and operated until their retirement, 2015. There wasn't a job he wouldn't tackle or a customer he didn't like. Anyone lucky enough to be involved with him learned a work ethic from an excellent teacher. Tom was Commodore of the Breeze Lovers Sailing Club, Rogers, Ark., as well as a member of the Northwest Arkansas Boat Club and Rogers Adult Wellness Center. He loved spending time with all his family and friends, gardening, raising cattle, painting with oils & watercolors, and Razorback sports. Tom is survived by his wife, Carol, daughter, Kelly Wolfe, Fayetteville, Ark., son, Dr. Brian and Erin Wolfe, and grandson, Corbin Thomas Wolfe, all of Norman, Okla. Furthermore, he is survived by his sisters, Liz Caughron, Cameron, Okla.; and Mary Stuttgen, Mt. Vernon, Wash., many nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, great-grandnephews, and great-grandnieces. He was preceded in death by a twin brother, Robert Leslie Wolfe, a brother, Howard Wolfe, Tulsa, Okla. and sisters Carol Johantgen, Santa Maria, Calif., Grace Garrett, Ozone, Ark. and Virginia Johnson, Tulsa, Okla. A Memorial Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, November 5th at 1 p.m. at Magnolia Gardens, 501 N. Main St., Springdale, Ark. 72764. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you donate to your favorite charity or church of your choice.
