Jimmie Joe Frazier

Jimmie Joe Frazier was born in Philadelphia, Miss. on Aug. 13, 1944. He was the son of Bessie Frazier Morris and the eldest of 11 children. He was called to be with the Lord early in the morning of Sunday, May 22, 2016 at the Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, Ark. Jimmie attended school in Mississippi and continued his education in northeast Oklahoma. He met Bettie L. Ben and were married on July 27, 1964 in Mississippi. They moved around from Chicago, Ill. to Jay, Okla. before settling down in Bentonville, Ark., where he had two jobs, Bentonville Casting Company and Wal-Mart P.M.D.C. He worked very hard over the years and when he retired, he moved back to Mississippi for a brief period. He then moved back to Arkansas to be with his family. Jimmie enjoyed being in the church as he became a deacon in Oklahoma. His hobbies included gospel singing, reading his Bible, praying, fishing, playing baseball, tossing horse shoes, bead work, and being at family gatherings. Jimmie is preceded in death by his wife, Bettie L. Frazier; one son, Henry L. Frazier; three bothers: Quincy Morris, Randall Morris, Sr., and Burnice Morris; and two sisters, Pauline Williams and Carolyn Nickey. Jimmie Joe Frazier leaves behind two daughters, Phyllis Boldra and Claudine Riffe, both of Bentonville, Ark; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three sisters: Arlene Morris, Melba Cline, and Mary Lou Morris, all of Philadelphia; two brothers, Harris Morris of St. Paul, Minn. and Larry Morris of Kentucky; an aunt, Maurine Dixon; an uncle, Albert Frazier; and a host of relatives and friends.
