Carolyn Margaret Roll, Bentonville, Ark., was surrounded by her family as she was called to her eternal home to be with her Lord and Savior on May 27, 2016 after a battle with cancer (that never really was a fair fight). Daughter of late Willard and Leitha Richardson, she was born on March 3, 1947 in Omaha, Neb. A devoted Lutheran and member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Rogers, Ark., Carolyn was a classy lady who shared her love generously. She attended Valparaiso University and later the University of Nebraska where she met the love of her life, R.C. Roll. Married for 47½ years, together they raised their three daughters while traveling the country as he served in the Air Force. Later they owned The Mountain Man Nut & Fruit Company store in Bella Vista. She was nice to all she met and had an infectious sense of humor. She was an animal lover with a soft spot for those who had been abandoned or neglected. Along with enjoying life to the fullest, she treasured every minute spent with her daughters and grandbabies. She will forever be remembered as a wonderful and beloved wife, mother, gramma, sister and friend. She is survived by her best friend and adoring husband, R.C. Roll of Bentonville, Ark., three daughters: Sheila Martin of Marietta, Ga., Jennifer (Gary) Carroll of Auburn, Mich. and Danielle Roll of Bentonville, Ark., a sister Cathie Conley of West Des Moines, her six precious grandbabies; Savannah, Ryan, Jada, Luke, Grant and Angela Pearl, and her two rescue kitties Molly and Maggie. A memorial celebration service will be held at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Rogers, Arkansas on June 11th at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to The American Cancer Society, https://donate.cancer.org or 1-800-227-2345 or the Bella Vista Animal Shelter, PO Box 5248, Bella Vista, Ark. 72714. Arrangements are under the direction of Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory. On-line condolences may be made at www.funeralmation.com.
