James Paul Laird, of West Fork, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on May 15, 2016. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Faye Frances Laird; five sons, Jimmy Laird, Bill Laird, Mark Laird, Roy Laird and Paul Laird; two daughters, Janie Bussell and Jennifer Wright; 15 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Robert Laird; and one sister, Barbara Young. James enlisted in the Air Force in 1950 and served for four years. During his enlistment he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. While stationed in London, England he met his wife Faye, and were married in England and returned to the United States after his service time. James attended Buckner Baptist Church. James was an avid football fan and loved camping with family. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, May 20, 2016 at Buckner Baptist Church with burial following at 11 a.m. at the Fayetteville National Cemetery with honor guard present.
