Lester Dale Dover Sr.

Lester Dale Dover Sr., 69, of Bentonville, passed away May 13, 2016. He was born on April 26, 1947 to the late Cleo and Mary E. (Deen) Dover. He was a life time resident of Benton County. He worked for Statton Feed Store, Earl Bright's Texaco, and Bentonville School transportation system. In life, he enjoyed classic country music and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his mother-in-law; three brothers; one granddaughter and one great-granddaughter. He is survived by his wife, Cathy Dover of the home; two daughters, Tabitha House and husband, Tim of Bentonville, Lisa Wynne and husband, Joe of Sulphur Springs; two sons, Lester "Pete" Dover Jr. of Pea Ridge, Cleo Robert Dover II and fiancé, Melissa of Akron, Iowa; step-daughter, Sarah Sanders and husband, Tim of Bentonville; seven siblings: Laquita Hall of Rogers, Sue Walker of Pea Ridge, Janie White of Pea Ridge, Jeannie House of Rocky Comfort, Mo., Teresa Pruitt of Bentonville, Dewey Dover of Washburn, Mo., and Bobby Dover of Mountain Home; 10 grandchildren; 15, great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A special thanks to the Circle of Life Hospice, Lester's special caregiver, Becky Stout and Janet, his speech therapist, from Elite Home Health and his niece, Melissa Johnson for her special care and kindness. A funeral service will be on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at 11 a.m. in the Eastside Assembly of God, Bentonville. Burial will follow at Bentonville Cemetery.
