Charles Maurice Holt, 93, of Bella Vista, AR passed away on May 8th, 2016 at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville. He was born January 9, 1923 in Dahlgren, IL. He lived in Oklahoma City then moved to Memphis, Tenn. where he met the love of his life, Ellen Hatcher, and were married June 1, 1942. They had two children Beverly Kaye Hahn and Charles Holt Jr. Charlie served his country during World War II in the CBI theater in the Army. He was overseas in 1944 & 1945. After the war Charlie and his family moved to Oklahoma City and began selling used cars and trucks and opened Holt Motor Company in Oklahoma City in 1961. Charlie and Ellen retired in 1980 moving to Rogers, Ark. and then to Bella Vista, Ark. Charlie and Ellen were both very active in their local churches (Immanuel Baptist Church in Rogers Ark., Bella Vista Baptist, and Village Baptist Church in Bella Vista, Ark.). Charlie loved his sweetheart "Hon" and his family deeply, he enjoyed telling stories, teased those he liked and had a wonderful laugh. Charlie was an excellent golfer. Charlie had many friends in the community and has touched many lives in his 93 years. Charlie is survived by Ellen of the home; son Charles M. Holt Jr, wife Polly, and grandson Charles M. Holt III (Chaz) of Oklahoma; granddaughter, Kelly Lynn (Hahn) Miller, husband, Kelly Gene Miller, great-grandson Jared Miller, and great-granddaughter, Allison Miller of Rogers, Ark.; son and daughter-in-love, John and Sharon Hahn of Rogers, Ark. Funeral services will be at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, May 12, 2016 at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Chapel in Rogers with the Rev. Dale Thompson officiating. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Oklahoma City, Okla. with military honors.
