Antoinette Frasca

Antoinette (Nettie) Frasca, of Springdale, Arkansas passed away Saturday May 7, 2016. Antoinette was born in Chicago, Illinois on January 27, 1916 to Pietro and Assunta Corrado Tramater. Because of the well -known Chicago neighborhood community organization, Hull House, she had the opportunity to begin violin lessons at a young age, and decided to pursue music as a career, receiving a Masters degree in Music from DePaul University in Chicago. She taught music at schools in California, South Dakota, and Springfield, Illinois. In 1954 she married Louis Frasca, also a music teacher, and upon retirement they moved to Fayetteville, Arkansas. She had taught private violin lessons in the Chicago area and continued to teach private lessons in Fayetteville. She also played violin in the Northwest Arkansas Symphony Orchestra She was a member of Saint Joseph's Catholic Church in Fayetteville. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Louise and Ian Anderson of Norwalk, Conn. and several nieces who live in the Midwest. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at Saint Joseph's Catholic Church in Fayetteville with burial to follow at Saint Joseph's Cemetery under the direction of Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville.
