Allen W. Combs

Allen W. Combs, 71, of Springdale, Arkansas passed away Saturday, April 30, 2016 at the Shiloh Nursing and Rehab in Springdale, Arkansas. Allen was born on June 27, 1944 in Fayetteville, Arkansas, a son of Arthur and Etta Combs. He was a certified Dr. Pepper collector and a member of the Handyman Club and the National Rifle Association. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Jerry Dale Combs; one sister, Netta Mae Cheatham; one grandson, Andrew Kenneth Scott; and two great grandchildren. Allen is survived by his wife of 45 years, Susan Lynn Combs of Fayetteville, Arkansas; three children, Raymond Charles Scott and wife Renee of North Carolina, Darren Lee Scott and wife Dianna of Springdale, Arkansas and Tammy Louise Combs O'Neill and husband William of Fayetteville, Arkansas; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends. Visitation will be 2 p.m.-4 p.m. on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Chapel in Springdale, Arkansas. Funeral service will begin at 4 p.m. that same day.
