Louie Neal Sakis, age 67, of Winslow, died Sunday, March 6, 2016. He was born June 26, 1948 in Fort Smith, Ark., the son of Ophelia Ridenoure Sakis and Louie Monroe Sakis. In 1966 he graduated from Mayfair High School in Lakewood, Calif. and sought employment with Hughes Aircraft in El Segundo. Shortly after his employment "Uncle Sam" elected him into the Army. After his service he returned to Lakewood to complete 37 years of dedicated service with Hughes Aircraft. He married Virginia McKinney on Aug. 8, 1969. His favorite activities were Sprint Car Races, working on Sprint Cars, NASCAR, Dominos, hunting, fishing and Rummikub. After his retirement he moved to Arkansas. He is survived by his two daughters, Michele and Jon Drinnen, Andrea and Robert Trimmer; three grandchildren, Marika, Audra and Boston and a sister, Aneka "Annette" and special cousins, Earl and Karen Ridenoure. Visitation will be held 9 a.m.–10 a.m., Monday, March 14, 2016 at Moore's Chapel followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. Burial will be at Freedom Cemetery in Chester, Ark.
