Marie K. Wadleigh

Marie K. Wadleigh, 92, of Bella Vista, Arkansas, died March 9, 2016. Marie was born November 21, 1923 to Parker Fox and Esther (Northup) Fox in Chaney, Oklahoma. Marie worked in professional Girl Scouting as a Camp Director for a number of years. She was also a teacher in Topeka, Kansas. Some of her greatest joys in life came from teaching children. She was active in her church, Forest Hills Baptist Church, Bella Vista, Ark. She is preceded in death by her husband H. David Wadleigh Jr.; her parents and siblings, Anise (Fox) Easterling, Glen Fox, and Frances (Fox) Maxton, Marion (Fox) Read. She is survived by her daughter, Debra K. (Wadleigh) Lantz of Bella Vista, Arkansas; grandchildren, Dominic A. Lantz, Alexander S. Lantz (Amanda) and Nyssa E. Berhorst (Lee); and one great-grandson, Daniel Lantz. A memorial service will be held at Forest Hills Church, 1702 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Arkansas, 1 p.m., Saturday, March 12th.
