Lillian H. Brewster

Lillian H. Brewster, 85, of Bella Vista, Ark., died March 4, 2016. Lillian was born Aug. 20, 1930 to Walter Hefterich and Lillian (Brewster) Hefterich in Doylestown, Penn. She grew up in Chalfont, Bucks County, Penn. Lillian joined the Navy as a WAVE where she met William Mitchell while stationed in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. They were married for over 60 years. She raised four kids in the 50's and 60's, largely overseas, while the wife of a Navy man. They lived in such far-flung places as the Aleutian Islands in Alaska, the Philippines, and London, England. They moved to Broken Arrow, Okla. where they lived for over 20 years. While in their 70's, Lillian and William were able to realize a lifelong dream and moved and lived in Europe for four years. During that time, they lived in ten different countries and visited close to two dozen others. Preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Tracy L. Mitchell. She is survived by her loving husband William; daughter, Dawn (Richard) Ulmer of Lynchburg, Va.; two sons, Clay P. (EunJu) Mitchell of Easton, Maryland and Kelly W. (Lisa Atherton) Mitchell of Centerton, Ark.; and two grandchildren, Emily Brewster Ulmer and Caitlin Marie Mitchell. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
