Jack Robert Scott, 66, of Huntsville, Arkansas, died March 2, 2016 at the Northwest Medical Center of Springdale, Arkansas. He was born October 21, 1949 at Springfield, Missouri, the son of James Robert and Mary Lou Pickering Scott. He was a graduate of Huntsville High School and The University of Arkansas where he received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He had been a businessman in Huntsville all of his professional career, joining Scott's Family Center after college and later owning and operating several businesses including a tank testing company, a title company, a real estate agency, a car wash and other enterprises. He was selected Businessman of the Year for 2015 by the Huntsville Area Chamber of Commerce. He was a life-long member of First Baptist Church of Huntsville where he served as Deacon and was a former Sunday School Teacher, Chairman of the Board of Deacons, committeeman and AWANAS volunteer. He was a Past Master of Huntsville Lodge #364, Free and Accepted Masons, a past president of the Kiwanis Club of Huntsville, a retired Chief of the Huntsville Fire Department and a long-time member of the Huntsville Waster and Sewer Commission. Survivors include: his wife, Patsy Steele Scott of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Amber Scott of Huntsville, Arkansas; one brother and sister-in-law, Sam and Mitzi Scott of Rogers, Arkansas; one sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Linda and Dean McChristian of Huntsville, Arkansas and one grandson, Holden Scott of Huntsville, Arkansas. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 5, at the First Baptist Church of Huntsville with The Reverend Jack McCarty officiating. Interment will be in the Huntsville Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home www.brashearfuneralhome.net of Huntsville, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be his nephews: Earl Carter, Jerry McChristian, Jay Scott, David Scott and Mark Hale. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday at First Baptist Church.
