James "Jack" Edward Hennings, 89, of Bella Vista, Arkansas passed away on June 28, 2016. Jack was born June 16, 1927 in Maynard, Arkansas to Ora Arlenea Cole and Franklin Ellis Hennings. He was raised in North East Arkansas, the oldest of 5 siblings. He served his country in the Army, Merchant Marines and Air Force. After his time in the military, he moved to Gary, Indiana and met the love of his life, Frances (Fran) Rose and married on November 7th, 1952. They were married for 63 loving years. Jack worked at U.S. Steel in Gary, Indiana until his retirement to Bella Vista, Arkansas. He then worked with his brother Bill, in a painting and mowing business. His happiest moments were being a loving, kind and patient father to his five children. Some of his favorite pastimes were golfing, fishing, bowling, camping and being an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs. The family so enjoyed listening to him tell stories of his life. He was a Christian man who was actively involved at Bella Vista Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife Fran, who passed away in March of this year, his parents and a brother, Kenneth. Jack is survived by two brothers, Bill (Ailene) Hennings, Mike (Pat) Hennings, and a sister, Darlene Hennings; sons, Brian Hennings, Stephen (Sue) Hennings; three daughters, Corene (Tim) Crawhorn, Kathy (Bob) Lackey and Paula (David) Sepulveda; 13 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Immediate family will have a private memorial service. The family wishes to thank the loving caregivers at Innisfree Nursing Rehab and facility and the Bradford House Rehab.
