Joe Howard Holcomb, 73, of Sulphur Springs, Arkansas, died June 21, 2016 at his home. He was born June 25, 1942 in DeQueen, Arkansas to Howard H. and Pauline E. (Wheeler) Holcomb. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. Joe was a very active member of the First Baptist Church. He helped with the Sulphur Springs Boxing Club and Youth Center for the local kids in the area. He was also a member of the Chamber of Commerce and the Jaycees. Joe is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Jeanne Louise Holcomb; and his niece, Suzanne (Suzie) Holcomb. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Dixie Holcomb; his sons, Bob Holcomb and his wife Deleah and Frank Leon Holcomb; his daughter, Jeanette Lynn (Holcomb) Denver and her fiancé Dustin McAlvain; his grandchildren, Kennedy Brooke Denver, Ashley Dawn Holcomb, Calista Mae Denver, Annabella Holcomb, Isaiah Alexander Holcomb, Ceasar Joe Holcomb, Camille Pauline Elizabeth Holcomb, Celia Raye Holcomb, Franklin Howard Tucker Holcomb; and 10 step-grandchildren. A memorial service will be 10 a.m., Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Sulphur Springs First Baptist Church under the direction of Westfield Chapel Funeral Home in Springdale. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers that memorial donations be made to First Baptist Church, Sulphur Springs.
