Larry Edwin Smith

Larry E. Smith, 69, passed away on June 7, 2016 in Fayetteville. He was born on November 22, 1946 in Russellville, Arkansas to the late Edwin Smith and Alice (Phillips) Smith-Ellis. He was the loving husband of Janice (Stiles) Smith. Larry was the band director at the Rogers High School from 1970-1980. Music was his passion and outlet. He retired from Walmart Logistics after 28 years. He was an avid duck hunter, golfer and gun trader. He is survived by his wife of Rogers; sons, Matt Smith and wife, Kathryn of Rogers and Jared Smith and wife Rebecca of Ava, Missouri; step-son, Matthew Tucker and wife, Jennifer of Conway; step-daughter, Sarah Tucker of Bentonville; five grandchildren, Isaac and Eli Smith and Riley, Zach, Alex, and Grace Tucker. A visitation will be on Friday, June 11, 2016 from 5-7 p.m. in Rollins Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service will be on Saturday at 11 a.m. in Rollins Chapel, with burial to follow at Benton County Memorial Park. Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.
