Dusty Lea Lovell

Dusty Lea Sosebee Lovell, 68, of Springdale, Arkansas, died Saturday, June 4, 2016 in Springdale. Dusty was a first grade teacher in Amarillo public schools, a model for Diane Dick Modeling Agency for 30 years, and the first paid Amarillo softball scorekeeper for 14 years. Dusty loved Golfing, Reading, Attending Razorback games, Traveling, and her dog Dakota. She was a member of the Christian faith, previously attended Paramount Baptist Church and the Church at Hillside, and was an honorary member of First United Methodist Church in Ozark, Arkansas. She proclaimed "I am a Christian, and love the Lord with all my Heart! Dusty graduated from Borger High School in 1965 and from the University of Arkansas in 1970 and served as past president of Alpha Chi Omega Alumnae; past secretary and tournament director of Tascosa CC Women's Golf Association; a volunteer for Meals on Wheels; and many involvements with Paramount Baptist Church in choir, hand bell choir, BYW, and Sunday school teacher. Her hobbies and interests were Golf, having made two hole-in-ones; Reading, attending any Razorback games; traveling; and had a love for animals. She was married to Thomas J. Lovell, Jr. at St. Mary's Georgia on August 25, 1969. Dusty was born July 4, 1947 in Clarksville, Arkansas to Raymond Wayne and Nina Jean McCallister Sosebee and was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her loving husband, Tom Lovell, special mother-in-law Dorothy Lovell Carter, her dog Dakota and many special relatives, friends and neighbors. Memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel in Ozark, Arkansas.
