ORIE LEE CRAIG (nee Roberts) of Little Rock, ArK. Passed away Thursday morning May 26, 2016. She was born to Scott Rex Roberts and Veva Beatrice Roberts in Leedy, Okla. Orie Lee graduated in 1937 from Central High School in Tulsa, Okla. After graduation, she worked to help support herself and her family at various jobs. Orie married George William Craig on April 23, 1940 and together raised two sons. During their 67 years of marriage Orie and George had a lot of great experiences living in six different states. Over this time her travels led to many different opportunities. She was active in the Methodist Church in Bentonville, Ark., Advisor/Director of Northlake College in Irving, Texas, multiple marathons and Special Olympics in Dallas, Texas. She started her banking career at the Bank of Bentonville in 1949 and after 41.5 years in banking, retired from First Interstate Bank in Irving, Texas, in 1990. Her hobbies were to read daily scripture, ballroom dancing, flower gardening and baking delicious treats. Orie is predeceased by her husband George William Craig. She was one of twelve children and is survived by two sons, George Lee Craig, and Michael Roberts Craig and wife Lynne Polk Craig of Little Rock; grandchildren, Jason E. Craig of Memphis, Tenn., and Lisa Saldivar (Jim) Houston, Texas; and great-grandchild, Jared Saldivar of Houston, Texas; her sister, Ila Marie Lovelace; her Husband Don ( Jimmy); her brother, Harold Roberts and wife Norma Lee Roberts. Orie will always be remembered for her integrity, kindness and generosity. She will be dearly missed by all who all who were fortunate enough to know her.
