Lawrence Anton Wewers, 77, passed away Sunday May 29, 2016 in Bentonville. He was born in Morrison Bluff, Arkansas on March 26, 1939 to John and Rose (Lensing) Wewers. He was a route salesman for Guys Foods for twenty years and retired from E.C. Enterprises. He lived in Fort Smith 45 years prior to moving to Bentonville in 2007. He was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church in Bentonville and the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus in Fort Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Lisa; a brother, Herman; and two sisters, Stella Frederick and Celestine Dixon. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Milly Martin Wewers; three daughters, Cindy (Bob) Hart, Melanie (Scott) Ray, Michelle (Bob) Evans; and two sons, Keith (Heather) Wewers, and Dennis (Lisa) Wewers all of Bentonville; and 15 grandchildren; two brothers, George (Barbara) Wewers of Boise, Idaho and Norbert Wewers of Lavaca; one sister, Rosemary (Tony) Reith of Ft. Smith and one sister-in-law, Stella Wewers of Subiaco, Arkansas. Visitation will be on Thursday, June 2, 2016 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. with a Rosary to follow at 7:30 p.m. in Rollins Funeral Home Chapel. Memorial service will be at 3 p.m. on Friday in St. Stephens Catholic Church in Bentonville followed by inurnment at the columbarium.
