Audrey Irene (Wilmoth) Austin, 93, of Bentonville, passed away Wednesday, May 25. She was born in Decatur to the late Ruben Lee Wilmoth and Maude (Marble) Wilmoth. For more than 50 years she was the loving wife of Glen Austin who preceded her, as did her parents and a daughter, Glenna Christine McIntosh. She enjoyed gardening, collecting Elvis Presley memorabilia and was a thrifty lady who enjoyed hunting for garage sale treasures, then conducting a ‘Show and Tell' session of her finds while sharing photographs with family and friends. Her smile would light up a room especially when around her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include her children, Kathy Hobson of Bentonville and Ron Austin (Sharon) of Rogers; grandchildren, Jeff Austin of Siloam Springs, Brett Austin (Stephanie) of North Carolina, Crystal McIntosh and Renee Mathews (Kraig) all of Bentonville and Chance Hobson (Cristin) of Washington and her great-grandchildren, Roman, Gage, Faith, Jasylen and Kyrra. The Funeral service for Mrs. Austin will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, June 2 in the chapel of Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers with interment to follow in Falling Springs Cemetery near Decatur.
