Claudia L. ‘Mimi' Skordal, October 21, 1918-July 24, 2016. Claudia Laura "Mimi" Skordal passed away peacefully at home this past Sunday. She was the daughter of William and Isadora Dandliker. Born in Renville County, North Dakota, she attended Minot Business College and married Henry Benton Skordal, the love of her life in 1942. The baby of seven farm raised children, she found her loyalty and stability in family, passing these love and life lessons onto the next generations. Her husband's job required the family to move often, and she always made each destination a beautiful, loving home. The most loving wife, mother, and friend, she will be greatly missed. Preceded in death by Hank "Papa" Skordal, her spirit will live on in her children, Sharon P. Tulli, of Brownsburg, Indiana, James B. Skordal and Rochelle A. Bruce, of Springdale, Arkansas. Five living generations, including 10 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Loved ones will celebrate her amazing life, (and the best cookie and potato salad maker of all time) this Friday, July 29, 2016 at 10 a.m., at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Springdale, Arkansas. Claudia and Hank were members of the First United Methodist Church of Springdale. Family and friends are finding peace in the fact that Mimi & Papa are reunited again. The Skordal family would like to also thank the Northwest Medical Center and Hospice friends for their compassion and gentle care of "Mimi".
