Judith "Judy" Ann Lorton

Judith (Judy) Ann Lorton, 78, of Bella Vista, Ark., passed away July 14, 2016 at her home. She was born May 21, 1938 in Kenosha, Wis., the daughter of George and Mabel Happeny. She lived most of her childhood in Muskegon, Mich., then moved with her mother and step-father Joseph Prais to Costa Mesa, Calif., where she met George, her husband of 60 years. Judy retired in 1988 after a career at Newport Mesa Unified School District as a Cafeteria Manager. George and Judy spent much of their retirement years touring the country in their motor home where they made many lasting friendships. Judy's greatest joy was the love of her family and spending time with her many friends. She touched the lives of so many with her positive outlook on life, her easy laugh, and her warm, thoughtful personality. Judy is survived by her husband, George; her four children, Deanna Kaufman (TJ), George Lorton III (Gigi), Chris Lorton (Patty), Lori Stone (Joe); 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held 10 a.m., Saturday July 23, 2016 at Bella Vista Community Church, 75 East Lancashire Boulevard, Bella Vista, Ark.
