Patrick Dale Candler, Sr., 64, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016 at Circle of Life, Legacy Village in Bentonville, Ark. He was the son of Kent and Diane Candler and was born July 31, 1951 in Independence, Kan. He proudly served in the United States Army. Pat enjoyed being around people; he was always happy and loved to tell a good joke. He was preceded in death by his father, Kent Candler in 2013. Pat is survived by his wife, Julie Bagley Candler; one daughter, Kathleen McCue and husband, Brian of Levittown, Pa.; two stepchildren, Shannon and Rob Woods of Stilwell, Okla., Eli and Taylor Hill of Bentonville; his mother, Diane Candler of Rogers; one brother, Scott Candler and wife, Caroline of Fayetteville, Ark.; one sister, Leah Candler of Bella Vista, Ark.; and three grandchildren: Serena, Sierra and Breanna. A memorial visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m., Monday, Feb. 1, 2016 at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services in Rogers. He will be laid to rest at the National Cemetery in Fayetteville. Memorials may be made in memory of Patrick Candler to the V.A. of the Ozarks to purchase a medical refrigerator for the Pulmonary Clinic. Donations may be mailed to 2898 West Walnut, Rogers, AR 72756. The family of Patrick Candler would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Glenda Patterson and the Veterans Hospital in Fayetteville for their incredible care and treatment of Pat during his lengthy illness.
