Bertie D. Henson

Bertie D. Henson, 97, of Rogers passed away Wednesday, January 21. She was born November 25, 1918 in Jasper, Arkansas to the late James Pelia Keys and Millie M. Self Keys. For nearly 50 years she was the loving wife of the late William E. "Bill" Henson. A lifelong Baptist, she loved growing flowers in her garden, making quilts through Arkansas Quilts of Valor for use by wounded servicemen and clothing for orphans in Hayti. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sue Hollenback and two sons, Johnny and Jerry Henson. Survivors include her son, Don Henson of Gentry; her brother, Wayne Keys (Jacki) of Rogers; her sister, Bobbie Hosier (Joe) of Bentonville; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Her Funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Open Door Baptist Church in Rogers with interment to follow in Walnut Hill Cemetery near Garfield. Arrangements are under the care of Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers.
