Virginia L Porter

Virginia L. Porter, 88, of Decatur died Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016 at Circle of Life Hospice House in Bentonville. She was born Aug. 22, 1927 in Nashville, Tenn. the daughter of Rose Jane King and George Howard Womack. She worked for Commerce Union Bank for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Roscoe Delius Jr. and her second husband, Hubert Porter. Virginia is survived by: four children; David A. Delius and his wife Nancy, of Mt. Juliet, Tenn., Diane Buenning and her husband Hays, of Decatur, Karen Duffy and her husband Bob, of Decatur, Leon Whaley and his wife Angie, of Talbott, Tenn., one sister; Rose Jane Bonds and her husband Virgil, of Wesley Chapel, Fla., 11 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 19 at 6 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Decatur. Funeral service will be Wednesday, January 20 at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Decatur.
