Marybeth Tromble Lyon

Marybeth Tromble Lyon, of Oklahoma City, Okla., passed away peacefully in her sleep on Dec. 17, 2015. She was 79 years old. Born in Bentonville, Ark. in 1936, Marybeth was the only child of Carl and Ida Tromble. Graduating with honors from Springdale High School in 1953, she excelled in academics and music. A gifted classical pianist, Marybeth attended Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois on a music scholarship. Married to Donald P. Jacobson for over 40 years, together they raised two daughters in the Kansas City Area, before moving to Springfield, Mo. in the 1980's to be closer to their beloved Aunt Dot and Uncle Maurie. Throughout this time Marybeth achieved success in the insurance industry, retiring as an executive, after a 35 year career. She is preceded in death by her first husband Donald "Jake" Jacobson and by her second husband Durward "Dewey" Lyon. Marybeth is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Carlotta and Bruce Kletsky and her daughter Ellen Arney. Her Legacy is carried on by her five grandchildren: Jay, Jon, and Robert Kletsky and Joseph and Katie Arney. Donations may be made to the Arthritis National Research Foundation. (CureArthritis.org.)
