Patty A. Putnam

Patty A. Putnam, 69 of Fayetteville formerly of Des Moines, Iowa died Saturday, January 9, 2016. She was born July 1, 1946 in Des Moines, Iowa the daughter of Robert Sherman and Marjorie Stevens Sherman. She was a kind hearted, loving, giving person who was generous to those in need. She loved volunteering which included ringing bells for years for the Salvation Army. She always took care of her family first, but if you met her you always had a friend. Survivors include her daughters, Mari Putnam of Fayetteville, Amy Mitchell of Springfield, Mo.; son, Jeff Putnam of Rogers, Ark.; spouse, Charles Putnam of Springdale; three sisters, Barbara Stiles of Huxley, Iowa, Nancy Sherman of Clive, Iowa, Jacki Hilbert of El Dorado Hills, Calif.; 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Cremation arrangements were handled by Nelson Berna Funeral Home and Crematory of Fayetteville. Family will have private services at a later date.
