Elise Renata McCall

Elise Renata McCall, age 98, of Bella Vista, Ark., passed away Jan. 6, 2016 at the Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, Ark. Elise was born Sept. 23, 1917 in Glenbourne, N.D., the daughter of Julius and Marie Wolter. She lived in Herman, Minn. until age 13. Then her mother, father, Elise and her six sisters, moved to Sand Springs, Okla. Elise graduated from high school in Sand Springs. She later attended a two-year business college in Springfield, Ill. Elise and her husband Eugene (Gene) Finis McCall met in Chicago, Ill., and were united in marriage June 1, 1938 in Chicago. Gene was transferred several times during his career in restaurant management, and they moved with their two children, Faye and Gary, from Chicago to Springfield and then to Decatur, Ill., St. Louis, Mo., Richmond, Va., and Skokie, Ill. They ultimately moved to Ozark, Mo., in 1961 where Elise lived for 45 years. Elise was employed in Springfield, Mo., by a Paul Revere Insurance agency for 17 years. Subsequent to Gene's death, in 2006 Elise moved to Bella Vista, Ark., to be close to her daughter Faye. Elise was preceded in death by her parents, husband and five sisters, Anna Fisher, Lydia Ristow, Margaret Whetstone, Edna Gebhardt, and Marie Billingsly. Survivors include her two children and their spouses, Faye and Tom Pyatt of Bella Vista, Ark., Gary and Tedra McCall of Tulsa, Okla. Also six grandchildren and two step-grandchildren, Kimberly Jenne of Springfield, Mo., April (Sam) Whitney of Richmond, Texas, Wendy (Andy) Gray of Tulsa, Okla., Jonas (Heather) McCall of Muskogee, Okla., Liza De Jarnette of Tulsa, Okla., Jordan (Ream) McCall of St. Louis, Mo., Jeff (Lisa) Pyatt of Boaz, Ala., and Amy (Jamie) Chesser of Champaign, Ill. Survivors also include 12 great-grandchildren and five step-great grandchildren. Elise is also survived by her sister Ethel Fillmore of San Marcos, Calif. Elise always said she had a great and wonderful life, and a wonderful family. She radiated happiness to all around her. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Circle of Life Hospice, Bella Vista Lutheran Church Shepherd's Food Pantry or any other charity of your choice. Visitation will be held at the Bella Vista Funeral Home on January 13 during the hours of 5-7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Bella Vista Lutheran Church on January 14 at 10 a.m. Interment will be at the Eureka Springs Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. On-line condolences may be made at www.funeralmation.com.
