Maryellen Blomberg

Maryellen (Goelitz) Blomberg passed away January 2, 2016 in Fayetteville. She was born January 13, 1941 in St. Louis, Missouri. She battled breast cancer twice, 18 years apart. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. Blomberg Jr. She is survived by her sister, Betty Bresnan of St. Louis; her son, Charles Blomberg (Betty) of Fayetteville; Cindy Parres (Jeff) of Town & Country, Missouri; and John Blomberg (Brenda) of High Ridge, Missouri. Grandchildren include Charles and Rachael Blomberg, Tyler and Mitchell Parres, and Walter and Lydia Blomberg. She has numerous nieces and nephews. Maryellen loved the outdoors and loved to fish. She had a great zest for life. Her favorite saying "never a complaint, merely an observation" was well known. A local celebration of life will be held at the home of Charles & Betty Blomberg on Leawood Way in Fayetteville on Saturday, January 9, from 2 to 5 p.m. A celebration of life will be held in St. Louis at a later date. A planned family float trip will be scheduled in her honor. Special gratitude to the staff at Highlands Oncology and Willard Walker Hospice.
