James Daniel Leach

On August 8, 1957, Clyde and JoAnn Leach brought the most amazing man into our lives. James "Jimmy" Daniel Leach, 2nd oldest son of six children, was born in Youngstown, Ohio on a beautiful summer day. JoAnn, his beloved mother, recalled that her Jimmy's birth was in less than twenty minutes and that was the fastest thing Jimmy had ever done since he was famous for his laid back approach to life. Jimmy was known for his disposition that even under the most trying of circumstances, he rarely lost his temper. To his parents, he was their "cookie bear love bug;" to his sisters, he was their protector; to his brothers, he was the man who had their back no matter the circumstances. This role never changed as his brother Lyle put it best…"he is the heart of this family." Jimmy is, as his beloved father Clyde would say, "One of my proud, tall, standing sons." Jimmy Leach and Melissa Coffelt were blessed during their union with three extraordinary children, Lindsey, Morgan and Colton. It was with fatherhood that Jimmy realized his true calling; it was his children that he cared about above all else during his time on Earth. He was also extremely close to his children's stepbrother, Leleind, whom he affectionately referred to as his "little buddy" and actively involved him in his children activities. Jimmy's children remember him as being a tenderhearted man with a laugh and smile that would light up a room no matter the circumstances. As his daughter Lindsey would say, "he was larger than life…he had the heart of a saint and the eyes of an angel…he was a gift to us sent from God." He was a jeweler with Walmart Stores, Inc. for over twenty years, where he served as a manager in the jewelry warehouse and was known for his strong work ethics and his devotion to his coworkers. Jimmy also served for many years as a volunteer firefighter for the city of Centerton. Jimmy enjoyed going to local antique shows and shop meets with his family where he was known for his eye for finding antiques and jewelry at a bargain. He was a lifelong motorcyclist and automobile aficionado who found great joy sharing these hobbies with his treasured son, Colton. Despite his heavy responsibilities both during and after work, Jimmy always made time to help anyone amongst his family and friends in need. A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, January 7, 2016 at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services with a memorial services starting at 7 p.m. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services in Rogers. Online condolences may be made to stockdalefuneral.com. "I Love You Man" –James "Jimmy" Leach, 1957--‐2016.
