Donna Bassham

Donna N. Bassham passed away February 14, 2016, at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, after a short battle with cancer. She was born April 29, 1940, at Jacket, Mo. to Waldo E. Schell and Mary N. (Pendergraft) Schell who preceded her in death. Donna was a 1958 graduate of Southwest High in Washburn, Mo. and retired from Glad Manufacturing in Rogers, Ark. after almost 30 years. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, auctions, estate sales, collecting antiques, traveling, working on the farm and the animals on the farm. She liked to refer to herself as a "workaholic' and her family would agree that was true. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Survivors are her husband, William (Bill) H. Bassham of the home; two daughters, Cynthia (VanZandt) Smith and fiance' Robert Smutny of Pea Ridge, Lesa (VanZandt Lohman and husband Louis Lohman of Garland, Texas; one granddaughter, Amber Lohman of Garland, Texas. The family would like to thank the staff at Circle of Life, relatives and friends during Donna's last days for the comfort, concern and care that was given to her Memorials may be made in honor of Donna to Circle of Life Hospice, 1201 NE Legacy Parkway, Bentonville, Ark. 72712. No services are planned. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Burial of her ashes will be at Antioch Cemetery in Jacket, Mo.
