Monroe Freeman Bentley

Monroe Freeman Bentley, 83, a resident of Prairie Grove, passed away February 11, 2016 at Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville. He was born January 30, 1933 in Collin County, Texas, the son of Oscar Franklin and Mary Kate Long Bentley. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Prairie Grove where he served as Bible Class teacher and Elder. Monroe retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years and retired from the United Postal Service after 20 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and four sisters. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Sylvia Bentley; four children, Pam Parker of Frisco, Texas, Robbie Rich of Ohio, David Bentley and wife Jamie of Fayetteville and Connie Casey and husband Robin of Prairie Grove; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; one siste,r Bonnie Chambers of Atoka, Oklahoma. The family will recieve friends on Monday evening from 6-7 p.m. at Lugibuel Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 16, 2016 - 10:00 A.M. at the Church of Christ in Prairie Grove. Burial will be in Prairie Grove Cemetery.
