Sandra Jean Lake

Sandra Jean Lake, 50, of Lowell, Ark. passed away Sunday, Feb 7, 2016 at her home. Sandra was born on August 5, 1965 in Springdale, a daughter of James Richard Pitts and Jessie Arlene Bowlin Pitts. Sandra retired after 25 years with PepsiCo as a Compliance Manager. She enjoyed arts and crafts especially painting and drawing, she loved animals and pets, had a large heart of gold, helping anyone who needed it and loved spending time with her family. She is survived by her mother, Jessie Pitts of Cane Hill; two sons, Dane Zimmerman and wife Jody of Bella Vista, and Devin Zimmerman and wife Tricia of Springdale; one daughter, Cassandra Zimmerman of Springdale; two sisters, Sheila Vaughan and husband Ervin of Lowell, and Betty Brock and husband Doug of Lincoln; two brothers, Shane Pitts and wife Breezi of Cane Hill and Kenneth Pitts and wife Cindy of Rogers; and four grandchildren, Dane and Jody's children, Mackenzie and Zackary, and Devin and Tricia's Children, Devin and Hayden. She was preceded in death by her father, James Pitts and two brothers, Billie Jack and James Timothy Pitts. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2016 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Chapel on Thursday, Feb. 11, 2016 at 2 p.m. Dane Zimmerman and Dean Bartholomew will officiate the service with burial being held at the Clifty Cemetery under the direction of the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Springdale.
