Marjorie May Stewart, age 82, of Gravette, passed away February 2, 2016. Marjorie was born March 2, 1933 in Dodge City, Kansas to parents Arthur and Geraldine Edwards. She was united in marriage to Joseph Stewart on March 31, 1961 in Hot Springs, Arkansas and they enjoyed over 52 years of marriage. Marjorie taught elementary school for 35 years in Southern Arkansas. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Gravette and formerly the Forrest Park Assembly in Pine Bluff and the First Assembly of Pine Bluff. Marjorie taught Sunday School also and was active with the Missionettes. Marjorie was also a member of the American Business Women's Association. She enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren and also quilting, sewing, yard work and bird watching. Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, Joe in 2013; her parents, brother, Lloyd Edwards and sister-in-law, Janine Edwards. She is survived by her sons, Jeff Stewart of Coal Hill, Arkansas and Joe Stewart and wife, Malinda of Pea Ridge; one brother, Duane Edwards and wife Linda of Maumelle; two sisters, Corine Peck and husband Lee of Tulsa and Evelyn Clem and husband Charles of Hot Springs; sister-in-law, Melva Edwards of Atlanta, Georgia; grandchildren, Dylan, Eli, Sara Beth, Jonas and Seth and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and former students. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Circle of Life Hospice or the Gideons. The family will receive guests at the funeral home on Saturday evening from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Funeral Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, February 8, 2016 at the First Assembly of God Church in Gravette. Interment will follow at 2 p.m. on Monday at the Fayetteville National Cemetery. Arrangements are with Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home, 3800 W. Walnut, Rogers.
