Alvin LaRoy Hunter, 92, of Rogers, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2016. He was born in the month of January in Dewey County, Oklahoma to the late Charlie and Larissa Eaton Hunter. Alvin retired in 1983 from Panhandle Eastern Pipeline where he worked as a Well Technician. He was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his wife, of 71 years, June Gore Hunter, of Bentonville, Arkansas; two sons; Kenneth Hunter and wife Carroll, of Bella Vista, Arkansas, and Roger Hunter and wife Sherry, of Bentonville, Arkansas; one brother, Carl Dean Hunter and wife Peggy, of Garden City, Kansas; two sisters-in-law; Iona Hunter, of Taloga, Oklahoma, and Rhoda Hunter, of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by three brothers; Lewis Hunter, Lloyd Hunter, Daniel Hunter, and one sister Charlease Cunningham. A Celebration of Life will be 3 p.m. Thursday, February 4, 2016 at Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. prior to the service.
