Mary Christine Caves

Mary Christine Caves, age 94 of Springdale died Sunday, January 31, 2016. She was born January 6, 1922 in Oregon County, Missouri. Her parents were Hubert and Pearl Douglas. She moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma in her teens, where she graduated from Webster High School. She married Dewey Caves shortly after High School. They had three children, Pat Dacus, Sherry Patterson and Mark Caves. They were blessed with 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. After moving to Southern California, her husband became a Baptist Minister and subsequently pastored 4 different Baptist Churches throughout the years. She was a totally dedicated pastor's wife serving in many capacities. She taught Sunday School, sang in the choir, and entertained many people in her home. Upon retirement age, they retired to Springdale where she worked in the Springdale High School Cafeteria for almost 10 years. She attended Temple Baptist Church. Graveside Funeral service will be held at the National Cemetery in Fayetteville at 11 a.m. Friday, February 5. Pastor Don Elmore will officiate. Online condolences may be left at www.siscofuneral.com.
