Charles Edward "Ed" Travis

Charles Edward "Ed" Travis, 85, of Springdale, passed away on February 2, 2016. He was born on October 11, 1930 in Harrison, Arkansas to John Merle and Florence Nickols Travis. Ed was a Veteran, serving in the Korean Conflict. He was an avid outdoorsman and a Boy Scout Leader. Ed was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Rosalee Austin Travis; three sons, Steve Travis and Clair of Bella Vista, Greg Travis and Aleta of Springdale and Mike Travis and Robin of Springdale; one brother, Phillip Travis and Jean of Fayetteville; seven grandchildren, Jason, Jeremy, Erin, Bryce, Missy, Jennifer and Thomas; and eight great-grandchildren, one nephew, Pat Travis of Bentonville. Visitation will be on Thursday, February 4, 2016 from 5-7 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale. Graveside Services will be on Friday, February 5, 2016 at 12 noon at Friendship Cemetery in Springdale.
