Sara Lynn (Plaisance) White, passed away on December 20, 2016 in Rogers. She was born May 29, 1975 in Seoul, South Korea. Her always adventurous journeys began when she was left at a police station after birth and then placed in a Catholic orphanage. Sara was adopted by JoAnn and Richard Plaisance through Catholic Charities and joined the family on December 8, 1975. The family lived in Albert Lea, Minnesota at that time before eventually moving to Arkansas in 1978. She was raised Catholic where she attended St. Vincent de Paul and graduated from Rogers High School in 1993. One of the loves of her life, her daughter Victoria, was born in 1993. It was while taking college classes that she connected with her beloved husband, Walter White. Sara and Walter married in 1997 and shared many adventures together during their 23 years together. Sara and Walter own and operate Ride-Rite Auto Sales in Rogers. Sara's passions included her family, taking care of anybody and everybody, and hosting wonderful home-style cooked meals for any and all comers. Walter and Sara's home was always open to friends, families, and animals. Her big heart was really on display when it came to animals. She loved all kinds of animals, but rescuing dogs was her thing. Not only did she rescue them but she cared for them like her babies. She is survived by her husband, Walter, her daughter, Victoria, mother, JoAnn Smisek Plaisance, in-laws, Patsy and Charlie Simmons, sister, Denise Plaisance and husband, Mark Pirozzi of St. Louis, sister, Renee Plaisance, and brother, Steven Plaisance and wife, Katy from Tulsa; in-laws, Eva and Rusty White, Charla White, John White, Chuck Simmons, Mike Simmons, and Greg Simmons. Nieces and nephews were near and dear to her: Steven, Matthew, and Andrew Plaisance; Sam and Isabella Pirozzi; Dylan and Emma Hammons; and Blakely White and Gunnar Drummond. Sara was preceded in death by her father, Richard Plaisance, and paternal grandparents, Charles and Lorraine Plaisance, and maternal grandparents, Lucille and Sylvester Smisek. She leaves behind her current precious rescue dogs: Sophie, Benson, and Sissy, and joins her beloved past rescues Cody, Chrissy, and Legend as she believed all dogs go to heaven. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Rollins Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 23 in Rollins Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery, just steps away from her dear Daddy. Pallbearers will be Jeff Goldston, Rob Morgan, Steven Plaisance II, Jeremy Rose, Chris Snider, and Tommy Undernehr. Sara loved her rescue dogs, and the family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to the Rogers Humane Society, 407 E. Nursery Road, Rogers, Arkansas 72758.
