Vernis Ray Bolin

Vernis Ray Bolin, 75, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, December 4, 2016, at his home in Lowell. He was born February 6, 1941 in Mount Judy to Lee Roy and Bertha Viola Donly Bolin. He worked at Tyson's hatchery in Springdale for many years, and was a well beloved husband, father and grandpa. Vernis will be greatly missed but will always live on in the hearts and memories of his family. He married Shirley Mae Young, his wife of 55 years, on October 3, 1961. In addition to his wife he leaves behind one son, Johnny Bolin and wife Donna of Lowell; two granddaughters, Stephanie and Erica Bolin; two brothers, Everett Bolin of Vaughn, Walter Bolin of Springdale; and two sisters, Imogene Hyland of Springdale, and Lorene McElhaney of Kinston. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, December 8, at Heritage Funeral Home. Interment will be at Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, online guestbook at www.heritageofnwa.com.
