Hazel Murphy

Hazel Marie Barker Murphy, age 90, of Elkins, passed away peacefully in Fayetteville November 30, 2016 after a long battle with Alzheimer's. She was born March 2, 1926 at Thompson in Madison County, Arkansas, the daughter of James T. Barker and Effie Mae Jordan Barker. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Winford Gail Murphy; a son, Ellis Gene Murphy; a son-in-law, Don Henry; four sisters and five brothers. She is survived by a son, Mike Murphy & his wife Jackie of West Fork; a daughter, Peggy Henry of Fayetteville and six grandchildren, Kim Alsafar, Rick Henry, Tony Murphy, Michael Voyles, Denny Murphy & Roy Murphy; twelve great-grandchildren & one great-great-grandchild. Visitation will be 5 p.m. – 7 p.m., Friday, December 2, 2016 at Moore's Chapel. Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Saturday at Crystal Hills Family Fellowship in Elkins, followed by burial at Round Mountain Cemetery, under the direction of Moore's Chapel.
