Linda Bettie Duncan

Linda Bettie Pigott Duncan, 95, of Fayetteville, (formerly of Waldron) left this life to be with her LORD and Savior, surrounded by her loving family, on August 25. She was born April 13, 1921, to Baxter and Bettie Pigott in the southwest Mississippi community of Knoxo. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Raymond; her parents; sister, Lois Gulledge and brothers, Jewell and Wendell Pigott; sisters-and brothers-in-law; and son-in-law, Roger Loge. She is survived by her children, Shirley Franklin and son-in-law, Perry of Fayetteville, David Duncan of Huntsville, Lynn Loge of Fayetteville; granddaughter, Stephanie Loge; great-grandson, Kaleb Meyer; sister-in-law, Jean Turbville; special nieces/nephews; and her family-in-love, the Tisdales and Robbins. The most important decision Linda ever made was to accept Jesus Christ as her Savior. She was a faithful woman of God; loving wife, mother, and grandmother; committed church woman who went about doing good; prayer warrior; elementary school teacher; member of Cross Church Springdale (former member of First Baptist, Waldron); resident of Butterfield Trail Village; and a member of the Retired Teachers Association. A celebration of life will be held for Linda on Thursday, September 1, at 2 p.m., at the First Baptist Church, Waldron, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Roger Brigance, Perry Franklin, Terry Franklin, Rick Jeffery, Dawson Tisdale, and Donny Tisdale. Honorary Pallbearers – Kaleb Meyer and Bunch. Memorials may be made to Cross Church, Compassion Center, 1709 Johnson Rd., Springdale, Ark. 72764 or the Willard Walker Hospice Home, 325 E. Longview, Fayetteville, Ark. 72703. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Martin Funeral Home, Waldron, Arkansas.
